Immersive is an experience designed to combine excellent hotels with two traditional high-altitude rifugio stays. Signature maintains the same teaching and logistical standards in a hotel-only format.

Seven nights in two carefully selected 4-star hotels, with a private single room and private bathroom every night. From our hotel bases, we travel to photograph a varied selection of Dolomites landscapes at sunrise and sunset, with the same personal teaching and carefully managed experience.

Two ways to experience the Dolomites.
Both workshops come from many years of exploring these mountains and building relationships with the people who live and work here.
Immersive combines carefully selected 4-star hotels with two traditional high-altitude rifugio stays. Signature offers the same small-group teaching, local knowledge and attention to detail in a hotel-only format.
Whichever format you choose, the aim is not simply to visit beautiful locations. We want you to photograph places we know and love while experiencing the food, hospitality and mountain culture through a journey we have built and refined over the years.

Included in both formats: a maximum of six photographers, personal teaching in the field, editing sessions, breakfasts, dinners and carefully managed local logistics.

Landscapes we photograph.
Eastern Dolomites
Our Cortina base puts us within reach of the region's most iconic scenery: jagged towers, alpine lakes, high passes and golden autumn forests, all a short drive from each other. Tre Cime di Lavaredo alone keeps us busy for days, with different angles, distances and light to work through each time we return. When the forecast doesn't cooperate, we simply move: there's always another lake, ridge or valley catching better light nearby.
On Immersive, a night at altitude adds a different landscape entirely: close rock formations, layered peaks and colour shifting from sunset through blue hour into sunrise.
Western Dolomites
West of Cortina, Alpe di Siusi opens into rolling meadows, scattered wooden huts and pine forest beneath Sassolungo and Sassopiatto. It's a location that rewards patience: mist over the plateau turns the huts into small, isolated subjects, and there's real scope to slow down and work on negative space rather than chasing wide vistas.
HOW THE TUTORING WORKS
Create stronger photographs. Show what a place feels like.
With a maximum of six participants, I can focus on your specific level and goals while you are actually shooting.
We work on composition, exposure, light and field workflow in front of the scene. Later, the post-processing sessions connect those choices to the finished image, so you leave with a repeatable process you can use beyond the Dolomites.

Learn how to read a complex scene, decide what to include and leave out, and build a composition with a clear direction.
Personal feedback
The workshop adapts to where you are, from camera fundamentals to refining advanced composition and exposure choices.
Editing and image review
Recorded processing sessions, individual help and a group critique show how field decisions carry through to the final image.
Hi, I’m Andrea.
The Dolomites have been part of my life for almost 40 years.
I grew up near Venice and have explored these mountains since childhood. Over the years, I have learned how their valleys, trails, weather and light change through the seasons and which places continue to offer something new each time we return.
Together with our local team, I have also built long-standing relationships with rifugio owners, hotels, restaurants, guides, drivers and the people who make life in these mountains possible. These workshops are shaped by that knowledge and trust. We do not simply take you to well-known viewpoints; we share a personal, authentic Dolomites experience that we have curated and refined for years.

The workshops are open to beginners, professionals and everyone in between. You need a passion for photography and the motivation to be out shooting each day. Teaching is adapted to your experience and goals.

Both our Immersive and Signature editions require a similar, moderate level of fitness. You should be comfortable walking on uneven mountain paths, carrying your gear, and standing for sunrise or sunset sessions. While neither workshop involves technical climbing, the main distinction lies in accommodations. Please check the specific workshop page for detailed physical ratings and terrain notes.

We welcome any camera system, whether you shoot full-frame, APS-C, or medium format. At a minimum, a sturdy tripod, a wide-angle lens, and a telephoto zoom are ideal for capturing mountain landscapes. A basic gear overview is available on each dedicated workshop page, and once you register, you’ll receive a comprehensive Welcome Document with complete packing lists, gear recommendations, and full trip details to help you prepare.

They cover many of the same core areas, including Tre Cime, Cadini di Misurina, the Cortina passes, Lago Federa and Alpe di Siusi. Immersive adds overnight access at Rifugio Locatelli and Rifugio Lagazuoi, creating additional opportunities at sunset, after dark and sunrise.

No. The rifugio stays are one of the highlights of Immersive and an essential part of its design. They offer characteristic mountain hospitality, authentic local food and direct access to the landscape during the best and quietest hours. The practical difference is that rooms are shared with another participant and bathrooms are shared for those two nights.

We do not follow a rigid shot list. Location choices are made around the light, weather and mountain conditions. The plan stays flexible, but it is never unstructured and safety always comes first.

The current itineraries include a coordinated group transfer from Venice Marco Polo Airport. Exact meeting times and departure logistics are confirmed directly with participants.
